General Questions:
- What is the best way to make a referral to the EAC?
- Do you have a sample EAC statement I can include in my syllabus?
- Can I about ask a student's disability because I believe this will help me assist them?
- What laws are relevant to student accommodations in higher education?
- What is the process for approving a student's accommodations?
- A student with a disability is acting inappropriately in class. Am I allowed to initiate disciplinary proceedings?
- What kinds of technology is available for students? Can I access any of your technology?
Accommodation Questions:
- What accommodations am I responsible for facilitating?
- How do I extend a student's time on a quiz?
- What am I not responsible for facilitating?
- What if a student asks me for "an accommodation" that is not listed on the accommodation letter?
- I am uncomfortable with a requested accommodation, or I believe an accommodation is not appropriate, do I still have to provide it?
- What is the EAC's policy as it pertains to "audio recording of lectures"?
- A student in my class has provided me an accommodation letter from CSM and/or Cañada College. Can I accept that?
- I have some short videos in my Canvas course. Am I required to caption them even if there is not a Deaf student in my class?
