Unit # 1-The Constitution- Section #2

 

1. SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Understand the nature and operation of U.S. political institutions and processes under the Constitution as amended and interpreted.
2. Provide critical analysis of the rights and obligations of citizens in the political system established under the Constitution.
3. Identify the functions of the the Branches of Government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial)

What is important: 

Item 2.1 in every Module are the  Learning Objectives and Chapter Summary of the unit. Students may also want to review the Discussion Questions and Quick-Write assignments prior to starting the unit. 

The course readings are central to understanding the depth and breadth of the unit.

The videos have been curated by topic for additional instruction and comprehension.  Students are not required to watch them, but they will offer more in depth instruction and understanding of the concepts.

The Student Action Items will incorporate the Instructional Materials and Videos as prompts to Discussions and Quick Writes.
