Free Speech and its Limitations
The Incorporation of Free Speech and Expression into the states has allowed our liberty to flow. Select one of the questions below and form an original post. (follow the instructions at the bottom.)
Choose a right and a case that has been brought into the states via the 14th Amendment and comment on the following:
1. Is all speech Free -Using the Supreme Court's ruling in Schenck v. United States and Brandenberg v. Ohio, discuss the limitations on speech.
2. Cohen v. California and Texas v. Johnson illustrate free speech that is not always "popular."
3. Tinker v. Des Moines illustrates that the "Constitution does not stop at the schoolhouse door," but Bethel School District v. Fraser and Morse v. Fredrick (Bong Hits for Jesus) brings forth a limitation for schools.
