Please construct your educational philosophy

Please, in no more than two pages, construct (and write down) your educational philosophy. This document should speak to where you are right now as an educator, not necessarily where you'd like to be or even where you see yourself at the end of this semester or this year. Be honest. My expectation is that there will be marked growth from the thinking represented in this document vis-a-vis your revised educational philosophy (due at the close of this course). So, in order to capture the shifts in your understanding and application of the pedagogy covered in this course, it is vitally important that this document captures an authentic snapshot of where you are right now philosophically, conceptually, and pedagogically. This assignment is not graded; that said, if you would like feedback, please let me know.

P.S., I provided an example of an educational philosophy document. This is merely an example, not a required template.

INSTRUCTORS' EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY AND PEDAGOGICAL PLAN

1. Educational Philosophy (the why)
   Describe your educational philosophy.
2. Pedagogical and Curricular Approach (the how and the what)
   How do you put your educational philosophy into practice in your teaching?
3. Assessment: How do you measure the extent to which your practices in the classroom are consistent with your educational philosophy (How do you know your philosophy, made manifest by your pedagogy, is working?)?
