 "Carol Gilligan on women and moral development"

The most publicized criticism of Kohlberg's theory of moral development came from one of his students, Carol Gilligan, who argued that Kohlberg's theory reflected a gender bias. According to Gilligan, Kohlberg overemphasized justice and downplayed caring, perhaps because he was a male and he primarily studied males.  The video below helps explain Gilligan's perspectives.
