Reading the Research: Module 1
"Animated e-books and young children"
The Student Learning Outcomes for this course include (1) exposure to empirical findings in the field of human development and (2) application of research findings as they relate to every day life. Each module I will provide a current example (most often from a peer-reviewed journal article) of research connected to a topic explored in that module.
Since the textbook readings this week included a section on research in life-span development, I have provided a link to an article that explores how exposure to animated e-books impacts young children's literacy development. I hope you will enjoy the article and also notice how the study is approached, methods used, etc.
