Smartpen Quick Start Guide

Before Using the Echo II Smartpen

• Use the included Micro USB cable to fully charge your pen.
• Connect it to a 5V charging block or to the USB port on a computer.
• Do not use a rapid or lightning charging block with this pen

How to Hold the Smartpen

Tips:

• Keep the OLED display pointing upwards.
• Do not block the infrared camera, which is under the ink cartridge.
• Be sure not to cover the microphone, which is indicated by a small hole above the Smartpen speaker (when you put the cap on, a notch leaves that hole open).

Recording and Taking Notes

1. Click the power button to turn the pen on.
2. Tap the ink pen on the record icon in your notebook.
3. Write your notes while the pen records the audio.
4. Tap on the stop icon when you are done.
5. Press and hold the power button to turn the pen off.

Playing Back Audio

1. Click the power button to turn the pen on.
2. Tap on a section of your notes to hear the audio played back.
3. Tap on the stop icon when you are done.
