Windows Settings with Ease of Access Circled

Windows 10 Ease of Access Settings

Microsoft Windows provides many ways to make it easier for you to use your computer, no matter how you learn best. On this page I show you how to use the built-in Ease of Access settings in Windows 10.

Note: The same settings are available in Windows 11, just in a slightly different place. To find them, you may type "Ease of Access" in the Windows 11 Start Menu's search bar, click the Settings icon in the Start menu and look for Accessibility, or click the time/date area on the bottom right of the screen. When I have a Windows 11 computer, I'll add a page with full instructions.

How to Open the Ease of Access Settings

  1. Open the Start menu by clicking the Windows icon on the bottom left of your screen, or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
  2. Open Windows Settings by clicking the Gear icon on the lower left (when you mouse over it, the word "Settings" will appear).
  3. Then click Ease of Access in the Windows Settings box.

The Ease of Access settings are listed on the left, and are grouped into three categories: Vision, Hearing and Interaction. Please take some time to click on each one to learn what it does.
