Dragon Basics

Dragon is incredibly powerful software, and it can recognize practically any accent or style of speaking - it even works well for people who have speech impediments. However, there are some things you need to know to get the best results from Dragon.

Tips for Improving Accuracy

1. Use your user profile for every session.
2. Speak at an even speed, as clearly as possible.
3. How to issue commands: When issuing voice commands, be sure to pause before and after the full text of the command, but do not pause in the middle of the command. Do not include additional words within your command.
4. When dictating numbers, precede the number with "numeral" to get the digit.

How to Train Your Dragon

• Add names and technical terms to the Vocabulary Editor.
• When Dragon does not correctly transcribe a word, select it, say "Correct That," and follow the prompts to make sure Dragon gets it right next time.
