Getting Started with NaturalReader Online Premium

Intro to NaturalReader Online EDU

Soon we will be providing NaturalReader Online Plus EDU to students.

Open the website Links to an external site. in the Google Chrome browser (to be safe... though it should also work fine in Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firebox).
Click the Account link on the left.
Click Log In
Enter your student email address into the "your email" box.
Enter the password that you created when you activated your account.

Once you're logged into NaturalReader Online, you have a few options:

Open the folder with your document in it, then drag the file icon from your computer to the white NaturalReader text field.
Click the Plus icon at the top of the screen, then find your file and select it ( (just like you would upload anything else to a website).
Click the "+ Open Documents" link just below the white text field, then find your file and select it.
Open your document, select all of the text in it, and then copy the text into the white text field.

With your document open in NaturalReader Online, click the Play button at the top of the screen to listen to the text.
If you want to listen to a document that you've uploaded earlier, click the More link on the top right, then select Documents and Audio. Click on a document from the list that pops up, and it opens automatically.

To find a specific word or phrase, just click the Magnifying Glass icon on the left.
Add a bookmark by clicking the Bookmark icon on the left.

Starting on the left, here's a description of each icon in the toolbar.

Click the Plus icon to upload a file - NaturalReader Online Premium can read practically anything that has text in it (Word .doc, text file, PDF, ePub file...).
Click the blue Play button to listen to your reading.
Click the MP3 icon to have the file you uploaded converted to an audio file. (You can listen to your MP3 files online, or download them - they're available via the Documents and Audio link in the "More" sidebar.)
Click the "listening person" icon to change the voice.
Click the "clock" icon to change the speed.
Click the Gear icon to access all settings.

"Documents and Audio" lets you choose another document, or select an MP3 to download and play.
"Pronunciation Editor" lets you enter unusual words (like names) and specify how they should be pronounced.
"Reset Reader" is pretty important! Sometimes NaturalReader Online gets stuck in a loop - it will keep reading the same text, or the reading display at the bottom of the page won't keep up with the text being read. Click "Reset Reader" to fix the problem.
"Install App & Extension" gives you a quick and convenient way to add the NaturalReader browser extension to Chrome, download the iPhone and Android apps, and add an icon to your desktop that opens your browser and launches NaturalReader automatically when clicked.
