  4. Click the middle icon, for Open from the Universal Library, to open the Universal Library dialog box.
  5. Click "private" to open the Private folder under your name.
  6. Your digital books will appear on the left side of the dialog box. Click a title, then click the Open button.
  7. Your reading will open in Kurzweil 3000. To start listening, just click the green Read button at the top (which looks like an audio player button).

Selecting a voice and reading rate

The Audio Options menu lets you choose the reading speed, voice, reading mode, and reading units. To change any of these settings, just click “Audio Options” and adjust the settings as you wish.

Adjusting the Zoom size for all pages in a document

Once the document is opened in Kurzweil, adjust the zoom (a good starting place is 100%) then adjust as desired.

On Windows, changing the zoom while viewing a particular page leaves the zoom on all other pages unchanged. To set the same Zoom view for all pages in a document, do the following:

  1. From the Tools menu choose "Options."
  2. Choose the "Image" section of the Options window, and in "Default Fit:" choose My Zoom.
  3. Choose the "General" section of the Options window. Set the "My Zoom" field to your preferred value. "My Zoom" defaults to 100%.
  4. Click Apply, then OK.

All pages of a multiple page document should now be zoomed consistently.
