Uploading Files to Kurzweil Online
Upload Your PDFs and Other Files to Kurzweil Online
If your professors provide readings in PDFs or any other type of file, you can upload them to Kurzweil 3000 Online and save them in your Private folder.
Step-by-Step: How to Upload Files to Kurzweil Online
Step 1: Log into kurzweil3000.com Links to an external site. and open your Private folder
Step 2: Click the orange "Upload" button on the top right of your screen.
If the button is grayed out, that means your Private folder is not open. Click your Private folder now; the button will turn orange.
Step 3: Select your file
A file manager window will open. Find the file you want to upload, then select it and click Open.
Step 4: Let Kurzweil work its magic
The browser window will darken as Kurzweil processes the file. How long will this take? That depends on how long the document is. Just be patient.
When your file is ready to read, Kurzweil will pop up a message: "Upload successful!"
Click OK to get rid of that message box, then open your document.
Note: If you uploaded a long PDF, or maybe a book in ePub format, the file could take a few minutes to open the very first time. Again, be patient - Kurzweil is downloading the file to your computer's buffer. The next time you open the file, it will open much more quickly.
