Kurzweil 3000 Basics
Kurzweil 3000 is text-to-speech software that not only reads digital text aloud, but also provides many other features that are helpful for students. This module takes you through Kurzweil's reading, annotation, and study guide tools.
One Login to Rule Them All
If you are registered with our Disability Resource Center and have "text to speech" as an accommodation, you can use Kurzweil 3000 for free as long as you’re a student in our district. Our Alternate Media program delivers your books straight to your Kurzweil 3000 account in digital format. Please request your Alternate Media Links to an external site. as soon as you buy your books for the semester.
The DRC staff will create an account for you; we will provide your user name, and your password will be your G number (with the G). You will use that login information to access any version of Kurzweil 3000:
