BIOL 260: Human Physiology
Course Information
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe the interactive functions of key homeostatic mechanisms.
- Describe cellular activity using chemical and physical principles.
- Relate cellular activity to the functioning of specific body tissues and organs.
- Distinguish between normal physiological changes and common pathological changes in the body.
- Use quantitative information to evaluate and understand physiological processes.

Grading
Course requirements include three midterms and a cumulative final exam, quizzes and assignments will also be given. Lab assignments must be turned in one week after completion. A group project on a case study in physiology will be given during the semester. Attendance is mandatory, students with unavoidable absences must contact me.
Grading is on a percentage scale 90% and above for A, 80- 89% for B, 70-79% for C, 60-69% for D. All work turned in must be original, (quotes from text are not suggested) references used must be cited in APA style (CSM library has many references on this format).
