Course Information
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe the physical structures of the body and describe their functions.
- Explain the processes of inheritance, reproduction, and development.
- Explain the general mechanism of homeostasis and provide examples. Discuss disorders of homeostasis.
- Discuss scientific principles as they pertain to the evolution of humans.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ecological principles related to human biology.

This will serve as your main content source. Each week you will do reading assignments. The class will also include online activities, discussions, quizzes, and assignments to turn in.

The grading scale is defined as follows.
Letter Grade | Percentage |
A | 90% and above |
B | 80-89% |
C | 70-79% |
D | 60-69% |
F | Less Than 60% |
Quizzes will be taken online during a specific time window and with a time limit. Quizzes will be multiple choice, true and false, matching and short answer questions. Make-up quizzes are at the discretion of the instructor (advance notice is required).
Quizzes are not cumulative.
