While Canvas has a native chat tool, it can be limited in how you're able to able access it and how you receive notifications of students chatting with you. The Pronto chat tool offers better notifications, access via a mobile app, as well as video and audio meeting options.

Pronto integrates seamlessly into our Canvas LMS. The guide below walks you through all aspects of using Pronto in Canvas, from how to access it initially to how to set up your notification and translation settings in the app.

You should see Pronoto in the global navigation menu on the far left in Canvas, at the bottom. The Pronto icon will only appear on your Canvas Navigation menu if you are assigned to at least one published Canvas course with at least one enrolled student.
Manage Your Courses in Pronto
As you start to use Pronto in your courses more, you might find that you want to put in place some more advanced settings, or manage different sections or groups in your courses separately.
