Overview of Tech for Reading
Welcome to Tech for Reading!
At Skyline College (and at the other SMCCCD campuses), we offer a powerful text-to-speech program called Kurzweil 3000 as an accommodation to students who are registered with disability services at their home campuses. In this module you'll get an overview of this software.
But Kurzweil is certainly not the only text-to-speech program out there! In this module you will also learn how to use NaturalReader, which comes in a useful free version.
Note: Kurzweil 3000 Accounts
If you are registered with the Skyline College EAC and have alternate media or text-to-speech as an accommodation, please contact our Assistive Technology Specialist. Students at Cañada College and CSM should contact their Disability Resource Center. Important: You must have a student email address in order to use Kurzweil.
