Accessing Bookshare in Kurzweil 3000 for Windows

Open Your Books in Kurzweil 3000

If you have an account on Bookshare.org, you may open books directly from your account. (If you are registered with the Skyline EAC and would like to learn about Bookshare.org, please contact the Assistive Technology Specialist.)

1. From anywhere in Kurzweil - the home page, Read tab, etc. - click the Online tab on the top right, then select Search for Books.
   
   
   
2. In the pop-up Online Search box, enter the author name or title of the book that you want, then make sure that Bookshare.org is checked in the Sites list.
   
   
   
3. The Download Status box will appear. Wait until the search is complete, then select the book you want and click OK.
   
   
   
4. Enter your Bookshare.org user name and password in the next box, then follow the prompts to add the book to your Kurzweil Universal Library.
