Otter for Education: Transcribe Almost Anything

Otter is pretty easy to use to use, and the interface is very visual. You can use it online at Otter.ai, or via an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Check out the mobile app:

Otter Basics

• The Otter app is available on the Apple App Store Links to an external site. and on Google Play Links to an external site..
• The online interface for Otter works with Google Chrome Links to an external site. and Mozilla Firefox Links to an external site. only (it does not work with Microsoft Internet Explorer or Apple Safari).
• Otter will record anything that it picks up with a microphone. This means it can be used on laptops or computer systems (with a mic) and also on a smartphone or tablet. You do need to play the video's audio through your computer's speakers, however. (If you have your headphones plugged in, the online version of Otter won't be able to record the audio.)
• In Fall 2022 Otter.ai released a new feature - the Otter Assistant, which you can use to transcribe meetings in Zoom.
